Junior Great Books is a volunteer-led literature enrichment program. Volunteers attend an initial training session to become familiar with the program and materials, then work with small groups of students on a weekly basis, reading stories from great literature and leading group discussions. Classroom teachers identify groups of students to be pulled out into the pods for this program. Generally speaking, the more volunteers who sign up, the more students who have the opportunity to participate in this educational program.

This program usually runs throughout the year and the time commitment is generally 45 minutes to an hour once a week.
